The LiveWire S2 Del Mar is already one of the most advanced electric motorcycles on the road, but in the hands of Aaron and Shaun Guardado of SMCO in Long Beach, it’s also a canvas for a new kind of bike: one that bridges the old-school of vintage dirt trackers with cutting-edge tech and modern production tools.

Meet the SMCO 66 — a fully custom build that turns LiveWire’s Del Mar into a rolling tribute to the stripped-down race bikes of the past, while embracing the digital future.

The SMCO 66 may draw direct inspiration from the stripped-down dirt trackers that once ran chicanes at flat track races, but this is no retro remix. Instead, Aaron and Shaun merged classic style with LiveWire’s electric innovation using advanced production processes that leveraged digital tools at every step.

From the start, SMCO's build process embraced technology. The bike’s standout polished aluminum bodywork actually began life as a digital model. The brothers then utilized 3D printing from PLA prototypes to final aluminum components allowing them to test fit and finish before machining the final pieces to OEM spec for a perfect direct fit. The result is a gleaming, mirror-polished body that honors the past while showcasing the future.

The SMCO 66 isn’t about trying to look like a bike of the past — it’s about channeling the attitude and spirit of vintage dirt trackers through the lens of a fully modern electric motorcycle.
