Key BENEFITS

LiveWire EV’s clutch-free operation eliminates the need to manage a manual transmission during prolonged maneuvering, reducing rider fatigue, enhancing focus, and minimizing low-speed drops. The smooth, consistent power delivery—controlled solely by the traditional right-hand throttle and foot brake—allows operators to concentrate on their surroundings and patrol duties, thanks to the nearly silent operation.

High performance, low maintenance, and instant torque. LiveWire EV motorcycles maximize uptime, cut costs, and drive sustainability—without compromise.

LiveWire electric motorcycles generate fewer maintenance costs over their lifetime. The electric powertrain offers simple and streamlined interactions for both operation and service. Since it is a single-speed there's no clutch or transmission to operate or repair. ICE consumable parts like oil/air/fuel filters, engine mechanicals, or clutches represent the majority of service costs for a traditional fleet. The elimination of these components on an electric motorcycle means increased uptime and lower cost of service.

Your fleet can also take advantage of the LiveWire S2 model’s onboard charger (compatible with Level 1 or Level 2 chargers) to keep infrastructure investment to a minimum.

Thanks to the advantages of EV technology, you can expect to see annual savings of more than $3,000 for the LiveWire S2 Del Mar electric motorcycle when compared to the 2024 BMW R 1250 RT-P police model, or any equivalent internal combustion engine fleet motorcycle.

  4. The U.S. Department of Energy calculator was used to calculate the annual gasoline and electricity usage of the BMW R1250 RT-P (552 gallons) and LiveWire S2 Del Mar (3,333 kWh) motorcycles, respectively. This is based on 75 miles of riding per day, or 27,300 miles per year. Read the details here.

  5. The Argonne National Laboratory, a U.S. Department of Energy laboratory, estimates the cost of maintenance and repairs of a Battery Electric Vehicle to be 47-67% of the cost of an equivalent Internal Combustion Engine vehicle in their comprehensive May 2021 study. Our calculations are based on their estimates of $0.061 and $0.101 per mile driven, respectively, and again assume 75 miles of riding per day per motorcycle. Read the details here.
