Maintenance
How easy is it to maintain a LiveWire motorcycle?
LiveWire motorcycles are convenient to own: there's no engine oil to change, and no spark plugs, air filter or primary drive to service. Electric power also eliminates maintenance issues associated with ethanol gasoline and off-season storage. LiveWire motorcycles do require inspection or service of some mechanical and consumable items, such as (but not limited to) the drive belt tension, transmission fluid, brake fluid & brake pads, and tires, at recommended intervals and pre-ride. The maintenance schedule for your bike can be found in the Maintenance section of your owner's manual.
Where can I have my LiveWire motorcycle serviced?
An authorized LiveWire location can do service and warranty work on your motorcycle. Use our Locator to find a participating LiveWire location near you.
Does maintenance have to be performed by a LiveWire dealership?
No, maintenance can be performed by the shop of your choice or by yourself as long as everything is performed per LiveWire specifications and follows the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual. Keep in mind that LiveWire locations have specific training on these vehicles and have access to all the highest quality OEM parts. For that reason, we still recommend letting a LiveWire location perform your vehicle's maintenance.
Where can I find the required maintenance schedule for my bike?
The maintenance schedule for your bike can be found in the Maintenance section of your owner's manual. The service intervals in the maintenance schedule are based on average riding conditions.
