Drawing inspiration from the climbing world, a Via Ferrata is a known path that has been fixed with anchor points and cables to assist the climber in traversing an otherwise tumultuous path so that more can experience the climb and the destination after. Italian for “Iron Path” the first Via Ferratas were built in 1800s Europe as utilitarian supply connections between alpine villages and the pastures below. In the 1930s the Italian Alpine Club would convert these supply lines over to recreational attractions for tourism. Now you can find Via Ferrata all over the planet as more discover adventure.
Like the Via Ferrata is to climbing the S2 Alpinista unlocks the sweeping mountain road experiences to electrified two wheels. More akin to a supermoto, the S2 Alpinista features 17" wheels wrapped in Dunlop® Roadsmart IV tires, dropping the seat height down to a more accessible 31" (792mm). This new offering unlocks impressive lean angles of 52.1° left and 44.2° right, perfect for mountain twisties or to be a menace on your morning commute. The S2AP also offers a line of utilitarian accessories designed for personalization, practicality, and mastery. The S2AP is the thrilling new standard for urban riding and beyond.
