The Mama Tried Show has always been about pushing boundaries of showcasing custom motorcycle design and culture. In 2026, LiveWire arrived in Milwaukee with a clear message: electric motorcycles don’t just belong in custom culture, they’re helping shape its future.
At this year’s Mama Tried Motorcycle Show, LiveWire unveiled two one‑of‑one S2 Alpinista custom builds, each reimagined by a builder who defines modern motorcycle creativity. Crafted by Richard Rawlings and the Gas Monkey Garage team, and Jeff G. Holt of V‑Twin Visionary, these machines made their global debut in front of a record‑setting crowd and left a lasting impression on everyone who saw them.

Both customs started with the same foundation of the LiveWire S2 Alpinista. From there, they diverge completely.

Richard Rawlings’ Gas Monkey Garage build brings unmistakable 70's chopper attitude and presence. Bold, unapologetic, and rooted in the visual language that’s made Gas Monkey a global icon, it’s a statement bike in every sense, proving that electric performance can carry just as much swagger as anything powered by pistons. Jeff G. Holt’s V‑Twin Visionary S2 Alpinista takes a different path, blending precision, craftsmanship, and deep respect for motorcycle heritage. Holt’s approach highlights the adaptability of the S2 platform, showing how electric power can integrate seamlessly into custom design without sacrificing soul or authenticity. Mama Tried isn’t just a show; it’s a conversation. And Milwaukee showed up in a big way.
Alongside the custom S2 Alpinistas, LiveWire was proud to show off S4 Honcho, giving attendees an early look at what’s coming next. Riders stopped to hang, talk bikes, and share what they’d do with Honcho, from city ripping and everyday fun to outdoor escapes and off‑the‑grid adventures.
Those ideas, questions, and conversations are exactly what we are here for. The excitement, curiosity, and creativity we felt throughout the weekend mean the world to us, and they’re a reminder of why attending events like Mama Tried matter so much.
This is just the beginning. We’re excited to bring S4 Honcho to more events, meet more riders, and keep the conversation going. Keep an eye out for where we’ll be next.

Berlin, Formula E, and the future of electric two‑wheel culture.

It’s almost that time of year when the rain gives way to blue skies and the outdoors beckons us to live our lives like a Juicy Fruit commercial from the ’80s to enjoy some good ol’ sun-kissed fun.

Portland was already vibrating before the sun went down.

LiveWire expands further into the electric off‑road category with their first acquisition, combining complementary capabilities and accelerating product development.

Not all awards hit the same.
