HONCHO FIELD DAY: A PERFECTLY GOOD REASON TO LEAVE PARIS

Paris is wonderful. Paris is beautiful. Paris has architecture, culture, fashion, and enough espresso to power a small nation.

But every now and then, you need to get the hell out of Paris.

That was the spirit behind Honcho Field Day.

We loaded up a crew of European journalists, creators, and friends of the brand and pointed them away from the city. Away from the traffic circles, away from the sidewalks packed with tourists taking photos of other tourists, and toward the French countryside where dirt roads stretch into the horizon and every trail seems to dare you to see what's around the next corner.

That’s where the S4 Honcho™ Trail makes the most sense.

Not under spotlights. Not on the main stage. Not sitting still while someone clicks through PowerPoint slides.

A motorcycle like Honcho comes alive when it's covered in dirt.

RIDE. EAT. PLAY. SHARE STORIES.

The plan was gloriously simple: ride motorcycles, eat good bbq, play games, explore trails, tell stories around a fire, and generally behave like responsible adults only when absolutely necessary. What followed felt less like a media launch and more like the kind of weekend trip you planned with friends.

Throughout the day, riders disappeared down trails and came back with the same Honcho aesthetic. Dusty boots. Muddy pants. Dirt-kissed goggles. Huge smiles. The kind of grin that says, "I'm immediately going back for another go."

That's the thing about Honcho.

The more time you spend on it, the less interested you become standing around talking about tech specs.

Nobody was standing around debating battery cells.

Nobody was arguing about range charts.

Nobody was pulling out calculators.

They were too busy riding. Too busy sliding through corners. Too busy discovering trails.

Again and again, riders returned to camp wanting to talk about experiences, not equipment.

They talked about the trail hidden behind a notorious grove of trees. The unexpectedly panoramic view at the top of the hill. The section of dirt that seemed to go on forever. The corner they finally nailed and the one they absolutely did not.

In other words, they talked about the ride.

And that's exactly what showed up in the reviews (so far).

UK’s Visordown perhaps summed it up best:

“I loved hooning around on it, and it's an absolute giggle factory.”

THE PACK was very direct:

“It puts a smile on your face.”

Gareth from The Bike Shed (UK/USA):

“You just keep the throttle on and you're laughing in your helmet.”

And Germany's Motorrad & Reisen reached a similar conclusion:

“Anyone looking for cool, approachable electric mobility should definitely take a look at the S4 Honcho.”

Four different publications. Three different perspectives. One common theme.

Sometimes the motorcycle industry folks forget that this is the whole game. Before the horsepower wars, before spec-sheet battles, before endless ego-driven arguments on the internet, motorcycles existed for one simple reason: they are an exceptionally good way to have an exceptionally good time.

S4 Honcho Trail enters the chat with that energy.

It's approachable. It's playful. It doesn't ask you to be an expert. It simply asks if like having fun and exploring.

And once riders answer that question, something interesting happens.

The motorcycle fades into the background and what is most important are the memories.

The campfire conversations that went longer than expected.

The stranger who became a riding buddy.

The trail that wasn't on the map.

The sunset that forced everyone to pause and enjoy.

The feeling of being somewhere unexpected with people you'll remember long after the dirt has washed off your riding gear.

That's what we witnessed during Honcho Field Day.

A motorcycle launch disguised as a great day outdoors…or maybe it’s the other way around?

Either way, by the time everyone packed up and headed back toward Paris, it was clear that the S4 Honcho Trail had done its job. By reminding them why they fell in love with riding in the first place.
