Creating the next generation of motorcycles

LiveWire Group Unveils Two New Electric Prototypes at Harley-Davidson Homecoming

Last weekend, at Harley-Davidson’s Homecoming Festival, we introduced something totally new and people took notice. We surprised everyone by unveiling two all-new electric motorcycle prototypes that represent the future we’re building toward: small, simple, and seriously fun to ride.

Think the spirit of 125cc-class minimotos, but reimagined for today. Fully electric, instantly torquey, and designed for you and your hobbies.

Two Prototypes, One Big Idea

We built these two versions around the same concept: fun-sized electric motorcycles that are easy to ride, easy to own, and easy to love. Whether you’re new to riding, returning after a break, or just looking for something different, these bikes are made to fit your lifestyle, not the other way around.

Quick Stats (Prototype, Subject to Change):

  • Seat Height: ~30”
  • Weight: ~250 lbs
  • Acceleration: 0–30 mph in 3.0 seconds
  • Top Speed: ~53 mph
  • Range: ~100 miles
  • Battery System: Two removable, swappable batteries. Charge on the bike or in a dock.
  • Displacement Equivalent: 125cc

Choose Your Style

Trail
This one’s all about the outdoors. Designed for backyards, dirt paths, RV parks, and family adventures, it’s rugged, simple, and made for low-key fun wherever you find it. Whether you’re fishing, hunting, camping with friends, or tearing around the property, this one’s down for the dust, the pines, and the road less traveled.

Street
The Street version is perfect for city commutes, weekend cruises, and custom projects. Small, agile, and instantly fun, it’s built for anyone who wants two-wheeled freedom without the full-size commitment.

Why We’re Sharing This Now

We want your feedback.

These bikes are concepts, and your voice can help shape the final product. From colors and comfort to use cases, pricing, and features, we’re listening.

What would make one of these your first (or next) motorcycle? What do you love? What’s missing? What’s the vibe?

You can send us direct feedback at hs.livewire.com/minimoto or drop a comment below. These bikes are meant for a new generation of riders and we’re building them with you in mind.

This is just the beginning. We’re hyped—and we hope you are too.

RED HOT ELECTRIC SUMMER

It’s almost that time of year when the rain gives way to blue skies and the outdoors beckons us to live our lives like a Juicy Fruit commercial from the ’80s to enjoy some good ol’ sun-kissed fun.
